good morning y'all! it's another monday!

hello week 3 - this is week 3 of kevin being home and we're stil having a good time.  I am loving him being home.  it's different but I'm liking it.

hello new plants - katherine anne and I went to some nurseries saturday and we bought some lovely herbs and I got a couple of trees!

hello coffee - you're the best

hello pretty skies - this whole past weekend has been beautiful and today is no different!  I totally like when there are no clouds in the sky and it's just this blue that goes on forever.

kinda short today!  this week seems to be a pretty chill week. :)

hello monday

good morning!  it is another hello monday post!  Sorry I have been missing from blogland these past two weeks...a lot has been going on around here :)

hello warm weather - hopefully the cold of the winter is gone and now spring and summer can come at me!

hello chicken coop - this past saturday we started working on my chicken coop!  I got some of it built with Kevin's supervision and then my wonderful, best brother-in-law ever helped me do some more.

hello garden - I feel like this might be a repeat but I will hopefully get my garden planted this week!  I had to take a detour and take care of my chickens first but now the garden is on my agenda.

hello second week with kevin - this is the second week with Kevin to be home.  we have his first post-op appointment this wednesday.  pray that his hand is healing like it should!

hello clean out - also on the agenda for this week is getting more stuff cleaned out of my house!  we have seriously been on a cleaning binge lately and if we don't need it and I don't want it, then it's gone.  

hello birds - I have a ton of birds that flock to my backyard and love to eat off the bird feeder!  I have never enjoyed watching them so much before, I think something changes when it's my own house.

finally friday.

although I say it's finally friday, the day of the week does not mean much to me since I do not work.  my weeks actually go by when Kevin leaves for work.  which is monday night.  anyways...this has been a pretty long week.  sunday night at about nine fifteen I got a phone call from Kevin that he had his hand closed in a door and broke his fingers!  His parents and I drove to his dock and picked him up and then took him to the hospital.  I have some pictures but do not have them transferred to my computer yet.  It is pretty bad and it will be about six weeks for his recovery.  

this is a preview of what i have been doing the past couple of weeks!  I have not liked our front yard because it really has not been taken care of besides just being mowed.  I really wanted to begin dressing it up this spring and began with the front bed, and that led into this wonderful brick path!  i'm totally in love with it now that it is finished.  I can't wait for the bed to begin sprouting it's beautifulness.  I have also been working on a garden that I need to begin planting this week or next.  It needs to be soon no matter what! this is my first year to plant a garden and I am very excited but at the same time I am hoping to not be overwhelmed.  currently I have a lot, a lot of herbs and I do not want to be overwhelmed by how many I have and just give up on them.  Because I really love them. I love the idea of cooking with fresh herbs and plants.
